I have the next couple days off. My plan is to binge my writing until I finished the chapter that I'm not quite behind on. Right after I pass out. Thank god TV was light last night.
I did give up on Ducktales though. For some weird reason they decided to release the episodes daily, even multiples one in a day, and I just couldn't keep up. I'd rather work on my book... After I pass out again.

Geekly Weekly TV Rankings (➤ for new) ( I live tweet shows on twitter, but try  to keep those spoiler-lite @AndrewGeczy)
  1. Game of Thrones *****
Great episode of the show, though it was rather more straightforward than I was expecting. I was expecting some twisty series of events that would be completely unexpected, but instead it was surprisingly simple. They attack King's Landing, they win. The surprise is how easy it is, and then how the real conflict comes from Daenarys just losing her mind and murdering everyone in King's Landing. I didn't really see it coming, but I kinda did, and in a way I can see how the whole show has built up to this. Good job in all, but I still kinda feel like this season isn't playing out the best way it could have.
  2.   The Flash *****Great episode. Totally different than Arrow, far better, but still had that sense of wrapping up the entire series at the end. With tons of goodbyes that felt final, including with Cisco. The final moments seemed focused on setting up next years crossover, making me feel more and more like the status quo is taking a real hit after this season, and the shows we've been watching will no longer exist the way we know them anymore. It's the end of an era, and this has been hitting me harder than I was expecting. I have a theory. THe last shot, of the years ticking down to 2019 on the article. I think the Monitor has been going to heroes at the end of their legacy and pulling them out of the timeline to throw them at the multiversal super bad foe like sheep to the slaughter. And then they die, and he goes to just a little earlier, and tries again, slowly eating up the future of our heroes in a never-ending dimensional war. That's my theory.
  3. Killing Eve ****1/2
Parts of this episode were amazing, but some parts had me growing frustrated. Namely the scenes in which VIllanelle and Eve interact. When they are interacting with anyone else, it's amazing, and amazing things happen, and it's one of the best shows ever. And the whole time you watch it wanting them  to just interact. And then they interact and it feels wrong every time. When Villanelle tells Eve "Don't talk to me like that. I like you, but not that much. I am the most interesting thing about you." I would have liked Eve to push back, to fire back, to rebel. To say "I don't believe you." TO do anything but allow that to hang over them and walk away. And that's just one example. But the scene with the bus, amazing. The dinner scene undercover. So good. Five Stars! Almost.
  4. Supergirl ****1/2
Really good episode of SUpergirl this week. I could nitpick, but the fact is, that's what I'd have to resort to because this episode did a lot to move the story forward, it had a good pace and some great moments. It did sorta brush the invasion plot under the rug at the very last minute though, which was strange and we'll see what happens going forward. I hope Lex didn't actually kill Russian Supergirl.
  5. Legends of Tomorrow ****
Really fun episode this week. I really enjoyed Gary arc, and his third nipple, though I think he got off way too easy. I actually can't stand him, despite enjoying him this episode. I would have been happy if he was defeated this episode and never seen again. He's just so annoying, ridiculous and funny, but in an annoyingly not cool sorta way. I also enjoyed Nora becoming a fairy godmother, but I hope this isn't their attempt to write her off the show again for next season, because I want her to be a permanent member of the team. She's great. And Ray is great. And they are married in real life.
  6. Arrow ***1/2
Very interesting season, or possibly series finale this week. They wrapped up everything. A little too quickly in fact. It was anti-climatic, though it was nice seeing everyone together again, I would have rather gotten an interesting plot, but it was plot that was sacrificed so that the show could wrap everyone up in a neat bow. Then, with his sister defeated, I realized there was still 20 minutes left, and what followed was like a montage of him living the perfect life with Felicity. They have the baby, and Oliver is happy. And I'm like "Oh shit, this is setting up for the crossover isn't it." And then the monitor showed up in his cottage. His time has come. Crisis on Infinite Earths. What followed was a tearful goodbye as Oliver leaves to fight, never expected to return. Rather insane that they sacrificed Arrow's practically series finale to set up the Crisis on Infinite Earths. But I can't wait. That crossover is going to be amazing. It's just a little rough, knowing a show I've been sticking with for seven years just came to an end as I know it. I wasn't ready. And it didn't really do a good of giving us a satisfying and climactic finale. There's still half a season left, but who knows what that will look like, who the enemy might be, or if Oliver will even be involved.
  7. Family Guy ***
The episode started out strangely paced, slow and inconsistent. This might have been one of the most inconsistent episodes of the season. It was just strange the way their jokes played out early on. THey started out pretending they were a sitcom like big bang theory, and I feel that joke fucked up their pacing for a good while after. Reminded me of Big Bang Theory and vids online of people removing the laugh track. When Family Guy faded away their laugh track to end the joke, it just felt strange and awkward for half the episode until it got into the meat of the plot, and then it was a very good episode indeed, but it took a long time to get there. Which is too bad, because I appreciated the honoring of Adam West, even though that might have helped contribute to the problem. I suppose, if that's true, it was worth it.
  8. Saturday Night Live **1/2
I actually enjoyed Emma Thompson. She was a good host, and did a variety of roles. And some of the sketches were fun, including the Beauty and the Beast one, and the one where Emma Thompson just beats up Leslie Jones. But an equal number of sketches were meh, and I didn't laugh all that often. Could have been my mood. But probably not.

Geekly Blog:
Well I did it. I have officially declared bankruptcy. Which is stressful, but also a release of stress in a way. I've been going through a lot lately, and apologize that the new chapter wasn't out last month, and I still haven't started it. I swear I will work on writing it next, I have lots of great ideas for it. I just need to de-stress and find the time to get it done.
Ugh, it doesn't help I had 2 days off this weekend, and most slept through both days, and then spent what little time I was up trying to catch up on all the way my life was falling apart, I still haven't grocery shopped, gotta go do that today. It was 11 last night, and my intention was to do all necessary chores, and watch all the needed TV last night, so I could have time today to write, but I passed out before I was ready instead, ruined yet another day, and now I'm just gonna catch up on things, and maybe play some GTA till work tonight. I refuse to write if I can't pull my life together, I'm tired of letting my life take a hit. I need to find my happiness. Otherwise my writing suffers... as it's BEEN suffering. I really haven't loved the last few chapters.
So yeah, that's why I'm releasing this in the morning instead of the night. I just keep passing out before I can do all the things I need to do in a day. Ugh. I really have to get my sleep, routine, and time management in check. Really really do.

Geekly Weekly TV Rankings (➤ for new) ( I live tweet shows on twitter, but try  to keep those spoiler-lite @AndrewGeczy)

  1. Game of Thrones ****1/2
This episode was good, though slower than other episodes and a lot of not great stuff happened that made me feel weird. Dani leaving her boats to die. How few unsullied are left. How fast everything is deteriorating for them. I dunno, It's not that the show is bad, I'm just not fond of the direction we're going in. I didn't love the places this episode led, and I dunno what is going to happen next week now. Is it good game of thrones still? Sure. Some of this episode was more game of thrones than we've seen in years. But is this better than what this show could have been had it gone in a different direction? I'm unconvinced.
  2. Doom Patrol ****1/2
Fun episode of Doom Patrol this week, with perhaps a bit too much of a focus on Cyborg, and not as much zani-ness as other episodes, it was still fantastic and had wonderfully great moments, as well as a few strange sights including those strange robots that did the filing. There was also some comedy found in Robotman's interrogation, Jane's torture, and the loosening of the butts. I especially liked when the guy promptly killed himself upon learning the butts were loose.
The next episode of Doom Patrol was great as well, with some wonderful emotional beats, and an interesting new character named Flex Mutallo or something like that, and I enjoyed his part in the episode. THe one down side, if this was the finale then DC really doesn't know how to do finales, and all evidence points to Swamp Thing continuing that trend.
  3. Legends of Tomorrow ****1/2
Great episode this week, as we quicken our pace towards the finale. I enjoyed a lot of plots in this episode, best of all was Gary's slow conquest of the Time Bureau with his demonic nipple. But every story thread was fantastic. The Wave-rider trapped in ice, great. Ray and Constantine was great. I even loved Constantine's super dramatic fall into hell. Great episode, worth every second.
  4. The Flash ****1/2
Great episode of the Flash. All these DC shows seem to be ramping up this week as they lead into each of their separate finales. Flash was great as Barry learned to trust his daughter, Cicada was finally defeated in a cool battle, and Thawne's true machinations were revealed. I'll be honest, Thawne had me fooled. I didn't wanna see him die, I was hoping someone would come save him. Instead it seems he might be about to save himself.
  5. Family Guy ****1/2
It was like this episode had no moral, no point, it was just pure random insanity and I loved every second. This is absolutely Family guy at its best. Loved all the ridiculous sponsorships, especially Triscuit. Loved Sam Elliot, I even enjoyed Brian's growing love for his hummer. I even loved when they fell asleep listening to a podcast and then got in a car crash, and then the podcast put them back to sleep. That whole episode was very random. Well done.
  6. Supergirl ****1/2
Good episode of Supergirl this week, with Kara and Lena uncovering Lex's dastardly plans, and things taking a twist for the worse. I enjoyed most elements of this story, and how it ramped things up to no longer be a cold war. Also Kara came close to telling Lena her secret, something I've been waiting forever to happen. It didn't happen, but Kara made it clear it's on her mind too. Also I kind of knew the president would fuck her over there. The only part of this episode I didn't enjoy was Alex's subplot. Once more they are trying to force James' sister down our throats, and the fact that they hung out and she listened to Alex's bullshit for an enitre day, for no damn reason cause the adoption fell through, was such a waste of everyone's time. Sister Olsen, the show, mine. All our time. Thanks a lot Alex's bullshit. I love you Alex, but you are so extra sometimes.
  7. Killing Eve ****
Good episode of Killing Eve this week, though I can see the point of some early review I caught a glance of that voiced some issues. The show almost seems to be dedicated to giving us what we want, and not, at the same time. VIllanelle is nothing but amazing all the time, and makes this show infinitely watchable, even if the rest of the plotting slowly falls apart.
  8. Into the Badlands ****
Good series finale, though I feel like someone forgot to tell the creator that it was the final season. Which blows my mind, because the entire second half of the season felt like the show rushing it's way to an ending, and then the ending arrived and they ended on a cliffhanger! A cliffhanger! Of all things! The episode was good though, fun action, good character moments. I hope Tilda survived. Fitting end for MK too. And Sunny was given the chance to be a badass at the end, even if it didn't make sense. He was blocking moves from Pilgrim that earlier would have snapped his bones. Very inconsistent episode, rushing it's way into a cliffhanger.
  9.  Cloak and Dagger ****
I enjoyed this episode for the most part, even though it dragged at points. Perhaps I just wasn't in the mood to spend an episode in dreamland watching Dagger's psyche slowly break. And it's was done fine. Not like amazing, but it was certainly effective enough for it's purposes. I enjoyed the moments in the record room, when the sound would get really quiet and you'd hear every little tap of a finger against a sleeve. The sound design was well done. And Olivia Holt remains an incredibly strong actress.
There was a second episode, or maybe I should have done the Weekly yesterday, but I passed out at like 4. Anyway, this episode is so much a continuation of the last, it's fine. It fits here. I enjoyed Tyrone and his journey through the episode, and Tandy gaining her strength again... I guess it does earn half a star, balancing out the previous episode some. Actually the fight scene Tyrone has with that one brute was pretty impressive
  10. Ducktales ****
A strong episode for its return. The only reason it's so low on the list has a lot more to do with the strength of TV this week, more than anything else. I loved Webby's excitement to practically Dungeon master a quest to distract their foe. Every character had some good character moments. There were good jokes, it was just good fun. An all around strong, if not standout, episode.
There's been more episodes of Ducktales. I don't know how fast these are getting released, I just watch them when I see them. It's a great show, and I love having it back, but I do wish they would slow down on these releases, they've released 4 episodes in like a week.
  11. Arrow ****
Better episode of Arrow this week, than the terrible episode last week, though some of the logic fallacies carried forward. Like why is William whining and crying in the future about them abandoning him when he was the one that called his grandparents to take him away. Does he not remember that? Also I love how the SCPD gets attacked by an obvious petite Asian woman in a green hood and they're like "It must be Oliver Queen" the captain was like "I thought it was you." ARE YOU BLIND??? But those are nitpicks, as opposed to last episode where the BS drove the entire plot. And a lot of what we got this episode was really quality stuff. Everything with Tommy, the struggle everyone went through in that plant really, and everything with felicity was compelling work. I didn't love that nerve gas scene, It was so dramatic when he could have just held his breath for five seconds. Instead he pauses for dramatic effect before and after shutting off the generator.
  12.   The Big Bang Theory ***I always enjoyed Lenard's relationship with his mother, mainly because it has always been so strained. She's such a ridiculous character, and I enjoyed Penny having to deal with her too. I also enjoyed the focus on Stewart and his girlfriend this episode, their roommate was hilarious, and I even enjoyed Howard's rom-com moment in the airport. All I didn't enjoy was the final conversation between Lenard and his mom. It made no sense at all.
  13.   Brooklyn Nine Nine ***I'll be honest, I barely paid attention to this episode. It looked like it could be fun. Scully had a brother or something? Peralta was tazing Amy and she tazed him. Holt's boyfriend was involved. It was some kind of heist. Rosa's thing seemed meh, oh and then Terry won at the end which was also meh... and thats literally everything I got from that episode. This is why I don't watch shows while doing other things, generally, and don't understand how some people can. You miss everything.
  14. The Goldbergs ***
Decent episode of the Goldbergs, better for its character moments than for its comedy. I really appreciated that Erika put Jeff's needs ahead of her own, and as my favourite characters and relationship in the show I appreciate how this seeming finale ended in a high place. They also, apparently, just wrote Jackie off the show after recasting her at the beginning of the season (From the personal fav but shit disturber Rowan Blanchard) and then proceeded to barely use her at all, which was thankful as the new actress was not the same. I do kind of feel bad for her. She walked into the middle of a shitty situation and then promptly got the shaft.
  15. Saturday Night Live **
Boring episode of SNL, that did little to bring the laughs. Maybe it's because I don't have a great appreciation for Adam Sandler, but I don't find him funny, and I found the family reunion sketch the least funny of all. The song about holes was really bad too. And there was a lot of reused sketches, and while there were certainly parts that had me chuckling, the only part I really enjoyed at all was the Chris Farley Memorial at the end. Actually I take that back. I also really enjoyed the opening sketch, and I usually hate the tired Family Feud sketch, but throwing in both Game of Thrones and the Avengers, and making them compete was worth every penny. Great way to start, it's only too bad the rest of the show never hit that height.

  4.   The Flash ****1/2Great episode of the Flash.
  5.   Family Guy ****1/2It was like this episode had no moral, no point, it was just pure random insanity and I loved every second.
Geekly Blog:
So I've had to face a harsh reality. I'm drowning so bad in debt that there's no way out. CIBC fucked me over with increasing interest rates and constant bullshit fees and ridiculousness. They've messed with me again and again, so that even when I thought I had finally gotten my finances in the green, they just jacked my interest rates further.
Then last month when I went to pay my, constantly increasing, minimum payment, I found out that my chequing account was closed. And that meant I wasn't able to e-transfer the funds. I had the money and couldn't even give it to them. So I was like "Fine" and put it in my mastercard and moved on. Terrible idea. Now they're freakign out, jacking my interest rates more, throwing fees at me, calling me every day. I don't know what to do. It's made me look at things, and I didn't realize how much my interest rates had already raised, but I'm super screwed now if I can't get a loan of some kind to take my money out from CIBC's hands.
SO I've asked my uncle for help. I've explained everything and I made him an offer. If he gives me 18k to close my accounts with CIBC, I will pay him back 20k, which is less than what I'd be payign if CIBC continues to screw me, 200 dollars a month. 400 once I pay off my mastercard (18k is about half my debt, but all with a bank I've tried to get away from cause they keep treating me like crap). I can deal with my other debts but I can no longer also deal with CIBC. No response yet, but if he says no, I dunno what I'm going to do. Declare bankruptcy maybe, but I don't even know what that does for me.
But yeah so those are my choices. IN the mean time, I've been working more hours, and I don't know when my writing will be out next. I dunno if I can maintain a monthly schedule, but I'm gonna try. I just, I'm so depressed and stressed and I dunno what I'm going to do. I guarantee Dakotah Slade will be out this month, promise. I just still haven't touched it yet. I'm working on fixing my life right now.

"We did! no one wanted to listen to us when we screamed that it rings to true to things that have really happened to us" and at that point, if it's too real, I don't see how it's offensively anti-feminist. If anything it's a cautionary tale)

Geekly Weekly TV Rankings (➤ for new) ( I live tweet shows on twitter, but try  to keep those spoiler-lite @AndrewGeczy)

  1. Game of Thrones *****
Amazing episode. Horrifying to say the least. I was literally trembling for the first act of the show, it messed me up so bad. It sorta of evened out a little. the second act wasn't as good as the first, and the third was really starting to push my belief... but Then Arya jumped in just in time to save the episode (I literally laughed at Theon's moment) and the world all in one bad ass move. Amazing episode. but everyone is dead now. Who is left to go fight against Cersei? Shout out to Liana Mormont for having an amazing scene. Shoutout to the whole episode for just putting me through the wringer.
  2. Legends of Tomorrow *****
Great episode this week. SO funny. We had so many different plots being balanced at once, but they were all told with the right people at the right times. It was fun, each dynamic was interesting, I was laughing throughout. Mick at a convention for his works was hilarious. Nate and Zari was cute. Ray with the evil hand, and Gary with the cursed nipple. It was just all really great stuff. Some of it, the cursed nipple and evil hand, felt very Evil Dead to me, which is great.
  3. Killing Eve ****1/2
Last week I kinda told this show off for not having any stand out moments. I'd say this episode was slightly better than last week, which is not to say either episode is bad, but it is a slower part of the season. There was a lot to enjoy, and some great character moments, but I really think if Eve is going to continue flirting around with other people, she should break up with her husband.
  4. Into The Badlands ****1/2
Great episode this week. Pilgrim has been built into quite the bigger threat than I considered him before this episode. Even his witch, who I hate, fears him now. I really don't know what she expected. I was super disappointed that they killed Nix. Right away, really graphically and just ground the point home by ripping her head completely free of her body. Did TIlda mourn? Not at all. She was too busy dealing with her ex drama. Blah. Nix... Tilda should have stayed. They could have taken Pilgrim together and saved the world. It was at least nice to see Sonny fighting at full strength again, after so many episodes of him recovering from his major beat down at the hands of Pilgrim. Most of the final episodes have been sans our hero, which was a strange choice, but whatever. I'd blame the writers, if I wasn't too busy blaming them for Nix. I will have my revenge!
  5. Family Guy ****1/2
Hilarious episode of Family Guy. A lot of great jokes, a surprisingly decent moral, and... yeah it relies on the tired and sexist trope of a manic woman, but I've known too many people like this in real life to be offended. This episode felt real in a sense, but also was a lot of fun, and if you can balance both of those in an episode of Family Guy, you've got a hit.
  6. The Big Bang Theory ****Hilarious episode of the show, well maybe that's giving it too much credit, but I'm watching this show late at night and I'm a little delirious. And I appreciated the way it resolved a plotline I sort of hated. I haven't enjoyed this plotline once until tonight and that's gotta be worth it, for redeeming the plotline just in time to conclude it, and now Sheldon is free to get a noble peace prize with Amy. I also liked the way it touched on each of the cast, and the opinions on the moral gray choice.
  7. The Flash ****
Good episode of the Flash. I enjoyed Nora's arc, and Iris' lesson to Barry that it doesn't matter what Nora does, that family is too important to give up on. I also enjoyed all the different smaller plot threads involving the rest of the cast and their romantic lives. My only disappointment was that n-- I think I passed out while writing this... I work nights... I have no idea what I was gonna say.
  8. The Goldbergs ****
Good episode, with a strong focus on the mother, who I often find annoying, but who I also often feel is a lot like my mother. As usual, the smaller side stories were more fun, than the A plot, though Barry can be a little too dense at times, like while he's trying to ruin Erika's chances to get into college. As usual, I enjoyed Geoff's often minor contributions,
  9.   Brooklyn Nine Nine ***
I actually passed out for the middle portion of this. I had no idea how Gina got stabbed, other than that I'm good. I like Rosa's plot with her hands. I dind't love Broyles plot, cause I don't love Broyles, nor do I enjoy GIna, so an episode focused on those two, it didn't seem a big loss to not go back and catch up on what I missed. But I will go to sleep before watching Doom Patrol. Guess that gets pushed to next week with Cloak and Dagger.
  10. American Gods ***
I'm not quite sure what I just watched. It didn't seem like a season finale, and though it had some good moments and some good performances, the police disappearing made no sense, all in all the episode was a middling experience that didn't really lead anywhere. Just sorta jumbled up its pieces and walked away. What a mediocre second season of a once great show. It's not so bad now that it's not worth watching, but I suppose that is an choice everyone will have to make for themselves.
  11. Supergirl **
Meh episode of Supergirl this week. Just super dumb and boring. I could have gone on, but I passed out instead after that first sentence, and now all the details of that terrible episode melted from my brain. It wasn't the worst episode ever. Just this season, maybe. Ooo, next morning, I remember! Okay so The main plot about Dreamer was really cringe worthy. Her one liners were the worst, but also her powers make no sense to me and were never explained or defined. One second she dreams the future. Cool I can dig that. But suddenly she was like electrocuting people, and shooting energy out of her hands, now she's creating lightsaber whips and bright lights. None of it is explained or set up. She just has the power to do whatever the fuck she wants I guess. But then every side story. Supergirl's was sorta interesting, but kept devolving into BS.  Like "Oh, I gotta be supergirl without my costume, and accidentally knock this dude unconscious, or read through these files really fast." The James storyline was terrible, he's becoming superman now? And they just put more effort into making us like his sister, and that's never working, and I don't want her to date Alex, oh god do I not want that one bit. I find her so uninteresting, and totally not needing to be there, and Alex is like being so supportive to her for some reason. No! She's the therapist! She doesn't need your support. She needs to go home so we can go back to not knowing she exists. I can't believe Arrow was worse than this.
  12. Arrow *1/2
Terrible episode of Arrow this week. I'm getting really tired of the law and police being the big bad of the season. And this was the dumbest police focused episode yet. Going after Team Arrow because during a terrorist attack that could have killed thousands of people, a couple guards got killed. I mean people have died all the time in attacks, but now suddenly these two guards really fucking mattered because there will be hell to pay for team Arrow. It's insane, super dumb, and it's only saved by the twist at the end, which almost made it worth it if everything before wasn't so bad. All that stuff the fat cop was saying was all such bullshit, he's such and asshole and this show better be freaking done with these storylines. It literally made no sense this week. Just wasted my freaking time. Like why wouldn't it be assumed that the evil organization who kills lots of people and were there that night might have killed those two guards? WHy is that so impossible for these cops to believe, that they have to spend days interrogating people and run a whole investigation. God the police subplot has sucked balls this season, from the moment Arrow got out of jail... no before. Every time the camera cuts to that police station, I know I'm in for a shitty time. Also Fuck Dinah. Perhaps because she's a part of all that bullshit that drags down the otherwise great show.
