Geekly Blog:
Well I did it. I have officially declared bankruptcy. Which is stressful, but also a release of stress in a way. I've been going through a lot lately, and apologize that the new chapter wasn't out last month, and I still haven't started it. I swear I will work on writing it next, I have lots of great ideas for it. I just need to de-stress and find the time to get it done.
Ugh, it doesn't help I had 2 days off this weekend, and most slept through both days, and then spent what little time I was up trying to catch up on all the way my life was falling apart, I still haven't grocery shopped, gotta go do that today. It was 11 last night, and my intention was to do all necessary chores, and watch all the needed TV last night, so I could have time today to write, but I passed out before I was ready instead, ruined yet another day, and now I'm just gonna catch up on things, and maybe play some GTA till work tonight. I refuse to write if I can't pull my life together, I'm tired of letting my life take a hit. I need to find my happiness. Otherwise my writing suffers... as it's BEEN suffering. I really haven't loved the last few chapters.
So yeah, that's why I'm releasing this in the morning instead of the night. I just keep passing out before I can do all the things I need to do in a day. Ugh. I really have to get my sleep, routine, and time management in check. Really really do.

Geekly Weekly TV Rankings (➤ for new) ( I live tweet shows on twitter, but try  to keep those spoiler-lite @AndrewGeczy)

  1. Game of Thrones ****1/2
This episode was good, though slower than other episodes and a lot of not great stuff happened that made me feel weird. Dani leaving her boats to die. How few unsullied are left. How fast everything is deteriorating for them. I dunno, It's not that the show is bad, I'm just not fond of the direction we're going in. I didn't love the places this episode led, and I dunno what is going to happen next week now. Is it good game of thrones still? Sure. Some of this episode was more game of thrones than we've seen in years. But is this better than what this show could have been had it gone in a different direction? I'm unconvinced.
  2. Doom Patrol ****1/2
Fun episode of Doom Patrol this week, with perhaps a bit too much of a focus on Cyborg, and not as much zani-ness as other episodes, it was still fantastic and had wonderfully great moments, as well as a few strange sights including those strange robots that did the filing. There was also some comedy found in Robotman's interrogation, Jane's torture, and the loosening of the butts. I especially liked when the guy promptly killed himself upon learning the butts were loose.
The next episode of Doom Patrol was great as well, with some wonderful emotional beats, and an interesting new character named Flex Mutallo or something like that, and I enjoyed his part in the episode. THe one down side, if this was the finale then DC really doesn't know how to do finales, and all evidence points to Swamp Thing continuing that trend.
  3. Legends of Tomorrow ****1/2
Great episode this week, as we quicken our pace towards the finale. I enjoyed a lot of plots in this episode, best of all was Gary's slow conquest of the Time Bureau with his demonic nipple. But every story thread was fantastic. The Wave-rider trapped in ice, great. Ray and Constantine was great. I even loved Constantine's super dramatic fall into hell. Great episode, worth every second.
  4. The Flash ****1/2
Great episode of the Flash. All these DC shows seem to be ramping up this week as they lead into each of their separate finales. Flash was great as Barry learned to trust his daughter, Cicada was finally defeated in a cool battle, and Thawne's true machinations were revealed. I'll be honest, Thawne had me fooled. I didn't wanna see him die, I was hoping someone would come save him. Instead it seems he might be about to save himself.
  5. Family Guy ****1/2
It was like this episode had no moral, no point, it was just pure random insanity and I loved every second. This is absolutely Family guy at its best. Loved all the ridiculous sponsorships, especially Triscuit. Loved Sam Elliot, I even enjoyed Brian's growing love for his hummer. I even loved when they fell asleep listening to a podcast and then got in a car crash, and then the podcast put them back to sleep. That whole episode was very random. Well done.
  6. Supergirl ****1/2
Good episode of Supergirl this week, with Kara and Lena uncovering Lex's dastardly plans, and things taking a twist for the worse. I enjoyed most elements of this story, and how it ramped things up to no longer be a cold war. Also Kara came close to telling Lena her secret, something I've been waiting forever to happen. It didn't happen, but Kara made it clear it's on her mind too. Also I kind of knew the president would fuck her over there. The only part of this episode I didn't enjoy was Alex's subplot. Once more they are trying to force James' sister down our throats, and the fact that they hung out and she listened to Alex's bullshit for an enitre day, for no damn reason cause the adoption fell through, was such a waste of everyone's time. Sister Olsen, the show, mine. All our time. Thanks a lot Alex's bullshit. I love you Alex, but you are so extra sometimes.
  7. Killing Eve ****
Good episode of Killing Eve this week, though I can see the point of some early review I caught a glance of that voiced some issues. The show almost seems to be dedicated to giving us what we want, and not, at the same time. VIllanelle is nothing but amazing all the time, and makes this show infinitely watchable, even if the rest of the plotting slowly falls apart.
  8. Into the Badlands ****
Good series finale, though I feel like someone forgot to tell the creator that it was the final season. Which blows my mind, because the entire second half of the season felt like the show rushing it's way to an ending, and then the ending arrived and they ended on a cliffhanger! A cliffhanger! Of all things! The episode was good though, fun action, good character moments. I hope Tilda survived. Fitting end for MK too. And Sunny was given the chance to be a badass at the end, even if it didn't make sense. He was blocking moves from Pilgrim that earlier would have snapped his bones. Very inconsistent episode, rushing it's way into a cliffhanger.
  9.  Cloak and Dagger ****
I enjoyed this episode for the most part, even though it dragged at points. Perhaps I just wasn't in the mood to spend an episode in dreamland watching Dagger's psyche slowly break. And it's was done fine. Not like amazing, but it was certainly effective enough for it's purposes. I enjoyed the moments in the record room, when the sound would get really quiet and you'd hear every little tap of a finger against a sleeve. The sound design was well done. And Olivia Holt remains an incredibly strong actress.
There was a second episode, or maybe I should have done the Weekly yesterday, but I passed out at like 4. Anyway, this episode is so much a continuation of the last, it's fine. It fits here. I enjoyed Tyrone and his journey through the episode, and Tandy gaining her strength again... I guess it does earn half a star, balancing out the previous episode some. Actually the fight scene Tyrone has with that one brute was pretty impressive
  10. Ducktales ****
A strong episode for its return. The only reason it's so low on the list has a lot more to do with the strength of TV this week, more than anything else. I loved Webby's excitement to practically Dungeon master a quest to distract their foe. Every character had some good character moments. There were good jokes, it was just good fun. An all around strong, if not standout, episode.
There's been more episodes of Ducktales. I don't know how fast these are getting released, I just watch them when I see them. It's a great show, and I love having it back, but I do wish they would slow down on these releases, they've released 4 episodes in like a week.
  11. Arrow ****
Better episode of Arrow this week, than the terrible episode last week, though some of the logic fallacies carried forward. Like why is William whining and crying in the future about them abandoning him when he was the one that called his grandparents to take him away. Does he not remember that? Also I love how the SCPD gets attacked by an obvious petite Asian woman in a green hood and they're like "It must be Oliver Queen" the captain was like "I thought it was you." ARE YOU BLIND??? But those are nitpicks, as opposed to last episode where the BS drove the entire plot. And a lot of what we got this episode was really quality stuff. Everything with Tommy, the struggle everyone went through in that plant really, and everything with felicity was compelling work. I didn't love that nerve gas scene, It was so dramatic when he could have just held his breath for five seconds. Instead he pauses for dramatic effect before and after shutting off the generator.
  12.   The Big Bang Theory ***I always enjoyed Lenard's relationship with his mother, mainly because it has always been so strained. She's such a ridiculous character, and I enjoyed Penny having to deal with her too. I also enjoyed the focus on Stewart and his girlfriend this episode, their roommate was hilarious, and I even enjoyed Howard's rom-com moment in the airport. All I didn't enjoy was the final conversation between Lenard and his mom. It made no sense at all.
  13.   Brooklyn Nine Nine ***I'll be honest, I barely paid attention to this episode. It looked like it could be fun. Scully had a brother or something? Peralta was tazing Amy and she tazed him. Holt's boyfriend was involved. It was some kind of heist. Rosa's thing seemed meh, oh and then Terry won at the end which was also meh... and thats literally everything I got from that episode. This is why I don't watch shows while doing other things, generally, and don't understand how some people can. You miss everything.
  14. The Goldbergs ***
Decent episode of the Goldbergs, better for its character moments than for its comedy. I really appreciated that Erika put Jeff's needs ahead of her own, and as my favourite characters and relationship in the show I appreciate how this seeming finale ended in a high place. They also, apparently, just wrote Jackie off the show after recasting her at the beginning of the season (From the personal fav but shit disturber Rowan Blanchard) and then proceeded to barely use her at all, which was thankful as the new actress was not the same. I do kind of feel bad for her. She walked into the middle of a shitty situation and then promptly got the shaft.
  15. Saturday Night Live **
Boring episode of SNL, that did little to bring the laughs. Maybe it's because I don't have a great appreciation for Adam Sandler, but I don't find him funny, and I found the family reunion sketch the least funny of all. The song about holes was really bad too. And there was a lot of reused sketches, and while there were certainly parts that had me chuckling, the only part I really enjoyed at all was the Chris Farley Memorial at the end. Actually I take that back. I also really enjoyed the opening sketch, and I usually hate the tired Family Feud sketch, but throwing in both Game of Thrones and the Avengers, and making them compete was worth every penny. Great way to start, it's only too bad the rest of the show never hit that height.
