Battlefield V Firestorm 1 presented by 99geek.ca

Geekly Weekly 30 (Sunday, March 31st): 99% Geek is Back!

Now playing: Transformers Last Knight

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

I finished a chapter of my novel, edited it, and it's online. I've decided to start posting them at my Patreon page instead because it's easier to read, but I hope people are able to check it out there. I've removed the pay wall, so now my writing is free to all.

I also watched the fifth transformers movie. I started it actually Saturday night, and it literally put me to sleep, so I finished it today after I was done my chapter. I know, I could have recorded a new podcast episode instead, but I didn't. It was bad enough the edit of my book took me all day, I wasn't expecting that.

I still had an hour after the movie, so I finally gave Battlefield V Firestorm a try. I had a lot of fun with it. More fun than my partner apparently. I was also the last one alive repeatedly, but damn was it intense. And cool. And I liked the vehicles. And I survived for quite a while every time. And the fire that closes in on you makes it really intense. Especially as it destroys buildings in its path. Really cool mode. But it seems like people have already lost interest. That's too bad.

Anyway. I will try to record an audiopodcast. all my listeners have been waiting like a month. At least Twitch is working now. I won't risk recording my podcast through that again, but now that it works I'll be streaming more again. So that's fun. Let's get this life back on the road, shall we. 99% Geek is stronger than ever! Can I get a booyeah?

( for new)(PS: There will be Spoilers)(PPS: I live tweet shows on twitter, but I try to keep those spoiler-lite for the important spoilers @AndrewGeczy)
(What does that mean? Important Spoilers? It means that things that seem like spoilers probably aren't important to your enjoyment of the episode. I'll either vaguely call out a moment, but maybe omit who perpetuated the moment, or who it was done to, or avoid the surrounding context, ensuring that you will still enjoy the story when you watch it.) (Meanwhile here I fully breakdown the happenings of an episode, and often even lean into the spoilers. I imagine you could still read for a show you don't watch, have your interest piqued, start the show from the beginning, and then once you get to the episode in question you'll have forgotten everything I'd spoiled)
  1. Into The Badlands *****
Maybe it's just something in the water but we've got three five star shows on a single Sunday night. It's great to have this show back, but I'm already in morning. It's been announce this is the show's last season, and that's a real bummer. This show is beyond good. The fight choreography is on another level for a TV show. Don't expect Game of Thrones or otherwise realism, we're talking Jackie Chan movies. We're talking Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Martial Arts and crazy stunts. All the good stuff. The plot is a bit hard to follow, but the character are charismatic, and this show deserved better. It deserved 6 seasons and a movie. Ten seasons and two spin offs. Yeah, that would about do it. Tilda can get one of those spin offs. Still my favourite character, she didn't get much to do this ep besides walk on water. It was brief and subtle, but I noticed it. Bad ass.
3x10: They released another episode on the app (Actually I guess it just aired over two nights), and it was fantastic as well. Almost flawless, were it not for the nonsense delusion that Black Widow has that takes up like half the episode. It just didn't make any real sense, didn't really go anywhere, went on forever, and was only redeemed by a really technically impressive fight scene with herself at the end. Like really technically impressive. The fighting was good, but even like the camera work, and that one shot where she nicks herself, and the blood splatter crosses from one black widow to splat against the face of the other. Insane. Anyway, I love Nyx now. Nyx is awesome, when she impaled that dude, and wants to help Sonny now. Yes, I am here for it. I didn't think she was that hot... til now. Now I'm all for it. Man, her and Tilde... that would be the shit. I don't want this show to end.
  2. Doom Patrol *****
Another amazing episode of the Doom Patrol. Has there been an episode yet that didn't get five stars? And this one was very self contained, taking place almost entirely within the mansion. In fact the one time we left the mansion grounds, it turned out to be a delusion. But this episode was amazing. It focused on the characters and their tragedies and trying to deal with their shit. There was no outside conflict except for their own inner demons. And then at the end of the episode the robotman was defeated by a mouse, and we got the hilarious backstory of it as a little baby mouse, and its mom want's to show it not to be afraid of roads. "It's okay. You just have to pick your moment." she scampers out and is immediately hit by a bus. And in that moment that mouse swears mousy revenge. Oh my god it is the funniest thing I've ever seen. This show made me cry both from laughter, and sadness. Again. Every episode. This show is amazing.
  3. Star Trek Discovery *****
I swore that he wasn't my Spock. I swore I would never accept him. I was wrong. He's grown on me. He's really actually grown on me. When he was like "I like science." so matter of factly, I was just like "Yeah you do." with a wide grin on my face. His Spockisms the past couple episodes have just been on point.Or is that En Pointe. Or is that En Masse? Anyway, this was the best episode of Discovery this whole season, in my opinion. I've been kinda down on this show, having really been a fan of Season 1 all the way through till the lackluster finale. I'm apparently literally the opposite of every single Star Trek fan on this planet, apparently. But this episode was great. And it really set a picture for me of what a section 31 show with Georgieu as Captain and Ashe as first officer might look like, and I like it. She was at her season best this episode, and strangely I enjoyed their part of the story more than anyone else. Strange because I've never really been a fan of Ashe. But he was good here. That AI is real threatening. And Burnham's moments with her mother were interesting, if slow and trying maybe too hard to buck our expectations. But the information and video logs from the future we gained was all great compelling stuff, and her journey made her reaction to her daughter forgivable. 5 stars
  4. The Walking Dead *****
That episode sure had me feeling a lot of emotions. For the first half it was such a feel good show. Everything was going so well, and people were so happy together. Then the foreboding started. The whole episode I kept joking (to no one because I am tragicly alone in my life) that I should just stop watch cause nothing bad could possibly happen. Joking because I knew something was going to happen. That shit was about to hit the fan. I thought I had it all figured out. I was sure Eziekel was dead. I gotta say, shit did not unfold the way I expected. Not at all. And the people who died, were not at all who I was expecting. Henry!?! I never would have thought it would be Henry. Tara? I loved Tara, then thought she'd been acting like a bitch lately, and then she softened and became awesome again this episode... and then they killed her. And Enid? I really liked Enid! So much more than Sayid. Why! She was training to be a doctor too! She should have loved! I liked her a lot actually! Didn't like the guy she was with, but I could live with it. Ugh. Not fair. But wow. Henry. Jesus Christ.Oh and the girl with the glasses too! I guess that wont matter now that Henry's dead. "Oh no the girl who liked henry... oh okay never mind." Lydia though. It's gonna be interesting to explore her dynamic with the group now that she lost the one she loved, the boy she turned her back on everyone for.
  5. Arrow *****
Great episode of Arrow this week. Why is it all the shows that are doing better than ever are getting cancelled? That's not true, but this and Into the Badlands deserve better. This episode was amazing. One of the best episodes of the show. There was some crazy awesome action, including Oliver actually needing to use his bow for bow things to save the day, which was a nice change of pace. Also all the twists and turns involving Emiko were just bombshell after bombshell after bombshell. Adrian Paul trained Emiko... but he also works for her! She's the leader of the Ninth Circle, and she was behind the Queen's Gamble. She's rotten to the core, and I can't wait to see her and Oliver match skills.
  6. Supergirl *****
I thoroughly enjoyed that episode of Supergirl. Lex Luthor was the focus of the entire episode, again! And this time it took us through the entire season to show us how he was really behind everything the whole time! Jon Cryer just hammed it up and was perfect. And finding out he was behind the Racists AND the Russian Supergirl is just a delight. This season is without a doubt Supergirl's best. Also shout out to Otis, for not killing that kid. Just when I thought you were irredeemable. Hey. The bar is low.
  7. Fleabag *****
Amazing Fleabag. God this show is good. It was so intense. Funny, but sad. Sexy but ugly. This show is constant contradictions, and it's real, and genuine, and unique. It's Pheobe Waller Bridge. Exposed. And she beautiful, and her mind is beautiful, and this show is beautiful. And I teared up when she was in the confession booth. That was a really good monologue.
  8. Family Guy ****1/2
Awesome episode of Family Guy this week. Actually ridiculously bad episode, but that was the point as they did a sort of parody commentary track for the episode that went quickly off the rails with the random inclusion of Sarah Paulson, and then the characters meet their voice actors, and... it was just an all around zany episode and I laughed my ass off. Really fun 4th wall breaking stuff. Some of the lines were just too good. "Brian you've had more sex with hot women than any dog can reasonably expect."

NEW CHAPTER Isabol Tseung Voice News 1x02 "The Deep End"

Previously on Isabol Tseung Voice News:

Isabol Tseung is a reporter for Voice News, the most stubborn, tenacious reporter the upstart Canadian based international news network has ever known. Focused on bringing the people the honest truth, without all the bullshit, Voice News does things a little differently from other news outlets. And Isabol is showing them the way. She’s uncovering stories of feral child gangs, and corrupt American presidents. She stands up to authoritative figures. She’s a voice for the victimized and powerless of the world. And when she received a text from an old university peer drawing her towards the story of a lifetime in Iraq, well, of course she was going to accept. With Australian philanthropist dude-bro Greg Beckett as her cameraman and translator, she bullied her editor in chief into buying two tickets onto the next flight into the Middle East.
Arriving in Mosul, one of the cities most affected by the fight against ISIS, things quickly spiraled out of hand. The airport showed signs of damage from the intense fighting and bombardment of the city. Reconstruction seemed to be progressing slow, where it was progressing at all, and the guards around the airport were quick to betray the two Voice News reporters to a mob of angry citizens. But the citizens were kind and helpful to the reporters, trading their assistance for water, and a tour for money. With Aram at the wheel and twelve year old orphan Muhammad, they toured through the destroyed city but didn’t make it far before they were stopped by a band of shoddily armed men. Isabol and Greg were taken from Aram’s truck and thrown into the back of a jeep.

From now on I'll be posting the full chapter on my patreon the same way I was doing here, only there it gives the paragraphs spaces between so it's easier to read. Also gets me more hits on my patreon page and maybe encourages people to contribute comments and be active members of my fandom. I dunno.

Geekly Daily 96 (Saturday, March 30th): Beat Final Fantasy IV

Now playing: Final Fantasy IV

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

I did it. I beat Final Fantasy IV. Technically again, but the 3D remake for the first time. It was good. I made the final boss my bitch. Beat him on the first try, I was ready fro everything. I didn't even have to grind at any point, I just also didn't run from battles until the final stretch of dungeon. My crew were all around level 70.

So the next game I'll be tackling is GTA IV. I already started it, came to America, met a girl who can see past my shabby foreign murderous mannerisms and love the man I am on the inside. And I believe that was all that had happened. Met my cousin. He's annoying. Can't wait to get drunk with him again. I just gotta get my Twitch issue under control. It keeps like blowing up my entire network every time I start streaming.

Geekly Daily 95 (Friday, March 29th):

Now playing: Final Fantasy IV

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

So I'd been complaining about how there was just too much to watch... and Hollywood heard me. There were no scripted shows the last couple days except for Star Trek Discovery. Which had it's best episode of the season.

And there was one day, I think it was Thursday. I woke up at like 6pm before my last shift, and I was like "I've got over 3 hours before I have to get ready for work. I'm on the last dungeon in Final Fantasy IV. I'm gonna beat this. Next thing I know, it's 8 o clock and I've literally gotten nowhere. I'm pretty sure I've played entire games shorter than this final dungeon. Maybe I'll beat it tomorrow, but I've got tons of stuff to try and accomplish, and only two days off this week (Keep in mind, working nights makes 2 days off feel like one day off, as you sleep through your first day completely). I have to Edit my new chapter and release it, record a audiobook podcast and release that, beat final fantasy IV, find out what the hell happened to one of my T4s, so that I can do my taxes. Clean my apartment (It needs it so bad, and keeps getting pushed off). Figure out whats wrong with my internet and twitch (Apparently they don't get along) and fix the problem before I start streaming GTA IV in a big way.

It's a lot.

Oops, I passed out before publishing this. I was doing my pre-sleep chores last night and just passed out like right in the middle of them. Which is great, now I've got no cold water in my Brita filter, and all my devices aren't charged.

Tilda can get one of those spin offs. Still my favourite character, she didn't get much to do this ep besides walk on water. It was brief and subtle, but I noticed it. Bad ass.
3x10: They released another episode on the app, and it was fantastic as well.
  3.  ➤ Arrow *****
  5. ➤ Fleabag *****Amazing Fleabag.
  6. ➤ Family Guy ****1/2 Awesome episode of Family Guy this week.

Geekly Daily 93 (Monday, March 25th): Internet Issues

Now playing: Final Fantasy IV

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

Wonderful, well it seems that issue I had weeks ago where I kept trying to record my podcast, only for the recording to be destroyed because of constant disconnects. Yeah, my internet is still experiencing disconnects. I tried to play the new Firestorm mode in Battlefield V, and I couldn't even go a minute without my entire network crapping out. I think something probably happened to the line. In the past, a repairman would regularly knock loose my connection while trying to secure someone else's. It used to be a constant back and forth, but things had been fine for a while. I guess I was overdue for the next extinction event. I emailed my ISP, I can't be bothered to spend hours on the phone right now. I only have a couple hours left. Guess I'll work towards finishing Final Fantasy IV. Then GTA IV. The Final Fantasy IV The After Years then GTA IV's expansions... not like tonight in the next two hours. I just mean, I think that's how I'm gonna tackle games for the next bit. But we'll see how quicly my internet gets fixed.

If there are people waiting for the audiobook podcast, I plan to just record offline, it's just I haven't been able to find time to do that. I've already tired recording this chapter three times. The fourth will work, I know it, but life has been hell since then.

  1. ➤ Into The Badlands *****Maybe it's just something in the water but we've got three five star shows on a single Sunday night. 1. Deadly Class *****
Amazing finale this week. This might be one of my favourite shows ever. It's just right up my alley. And I keep saying that.  But this finale was so much crazy manic action, and all the women were so bad ass I heart Saya so much, but Maria all made up is amazing too. And Petra. This episode was a crazy wild ride and if you're not watching, find where you can get the whole complete season, and give it a go. It's so good, and fun, and only just too bad it's so short. And they end on such a cliffhanger! What an episode. A+ Well done. Amazing Season 1.
  2.  ➤ Doom Patrol *****Another amazing episode of this perfect show. I love how crazy and weird it gets to be on a weekly basis. I never know what to expect, it always blows my expectations sky high. I can never predict anything, things always take crazy directions. And the people in the show are completely aware of how absolutely bonkers everything is, but they just go with it. Because they're all bonkers too. This show is amazing. Watch this and Deadly Class. Do it!
  3. The Walking Dead *****
Damn that was a good episode again this week. I really didn't want the flashback at first, and was glad yet again when they didn't turn out to be the whole episode. And everything in the modern day was amazing. I just love Judith so much I think I'm gonna start setting of like child pervert alarms. "He keeps saying he loves a like ten year old kid" uh... I just think she's super cool and bad ass and the show should focus on her, and she can like grow up alongside the show. It means no more time skipping, and no recasting or I riot! Time on the show will move exactly as fast as the actress who plays Judith ages. Anyway. SO this show was flying on all cylinders. Even the flashbacks, which bored the crap out of me at first, went in a freaking insane direction where Michonne found herself in Lord of the Flies and the only was she could defend her kids is to kill a whole bunch of other kids. That scene was insane. I'll be honest I teared up a couple times this episode. And it was usually when people were talking about how awesome Judith is. I'm just like "I KNOW RIGHT!"
  4. Arrow *****
If you told me at the beginning of the season, or the middle of the season, or last week, or this morning, that there would be an episode that would be all flash forward and no Oliver Queen, I would have said boo. Boo-oring. Well I'd have been wrong, I loved that episode. It actually might have been one of my favourite episodes of the season. I love Mia, and getting more of her backstory was cool. Also, seeing Nyssa Al Ghul training her from a young age how to fight was interesting. I love how they didn't address it or even mention her name. I was like "Was that Nyssa?" and then I saw the credit for Katrina Law and I was like "Damn right it was!"
  5. Star Wars Resistance *****
Best episode of the show yet. This is kinda what everyone wanted the whole show to be, and it only took the entire season to get there. But it's perhaps being used to the smaller stakes, that having this smaller stakes sort of cast suddenly dealing with higher stake situations was really effecting. Seeing Torra in the cockpit not treating it all like a game was really moving. Seeing all the different elements of the season come together literally brought a tear to my eye, but I've had a rough week so maybe my emotions are all over the place. It was also nice Tam finally made a choice, even if it was the wrong one. That back and forth was driving me crazy. Great finale. Can't wait for season 2. Please tell me Neeku didn't send them too far off course. Oh... what if they find Ezra Bridger!
  6. The Flash ****1/2
Great episode this week. Ralph was probably the most awkward part, but everything else going on was fun compelling stuff. Sherloque figured it out! Oh and Barry's reaction to finding out the truth about Thawne seemed a little extreme. But still, I love this show. Sherloque was the best part for sure. I also was mentioning to someone today that Cisco isn't acting much like Cisco anymore. The way he's hating on the lifestyle is so counter to his personality. He's a geek! He wouldn't be excitedly naming the villains if he hated the job. He gets to be a superhero! No geek gets superpowers and says "Man, I wish I could be normal." It's so counter to his character, and feels like they just want to build up a reason to get rid of him. If Arrows ending, and he's leaving, is this the end of the DC CW Arroverse that I love? Will everything reach a finality come the Crisis event next year?
  7. Star Trek Discovery ****1/2
A decent episode of the show, a little held back by A) being so predictable and B) not completely making sense. The whole thing with Burnham, there had to be a better less agonizing way to do that. It being her mom was super easy to guess the moment they said it was her DNA. This show certainly did some interesting things this episode, and seems to be cementing it's place as a show with stuff going on. It felt both a self contained story as well as pushing forward the narrative. I heard the season is almost over. If ti continues on this path this season will be, while weaker than season 1, still a strong complete season of the show. Said another way, I guess things are finally coming together.
  8. American Gods ****1/2
2x02: Loved the stuff with Laura Moon and the leprechaun. Also the history of Shadow Moon, and his backstory with his mother, was an interesting thing to explore. I do still find myself missing the strength of season one though. This season doesn't reach the heights of the last, and I especially miss the stories we used to get about the old gods. Also everything with Mr. Wednesday and Mr. Nancy were meh. Funny snippets, but no substance and didn't lead anywhere particularly interesting.
  9.  Supergirl ****1/2
Awesome episode of Supergirl this week. Parts of it were slow, and Alex's scenes were largely stupid and superfluous and a waste of time, and it's rare that Alex is my least favourite part of an episode, but since she had her memories erased she just hasn't been the same, and her storylines have suffered. Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor was hard to take seriously at first, and that never really changed. But he went from being ridiculous, to being ridiculously kind of awesome, and I'm excited to see where things go from here.
  10. The Orville ****
What a great a great episode of the show. I wasn't expecting that. I was actually hoping to drop this show from my list, like I did Riverdale this week. Instead it really captured me right from the start with sentiment and subtlety. I am kind of shocked. The B plot was fun, with Bortis being addicted to cigarettes. and I really enjoyed and could relate to his struggles. When he had all those secret hiding spots, oh man that was so me. But then the A plot was something else entirely. The relationship Gordon forms with a woman he constructs using a phone in a time capsule from the year 2015. She feels genuine, and relatable, and the way he falls for her despite her not being real is also believable. It was touching, and sweet, and not played for humour. These are the moments the show really excels. The theme behind it all, moral so to speak, was also really well thought out and kind of deep. And the fact this show can go from a big high budget action piece like last week's battle against Issac's entire robot species, to a quiet subdued drama this week about a man fallign in love with a woman who isn't real, and the more he tries to change her, the less real she seems. It's just excellent work. Still completely compelling.
  11. High Maintenance ****
It was a fine episode of High Maintenance. I don't know if the stories it's been telling lately have just been less interesting, or maybe the novelty of the mundane is starting to wear off, but the second half of this season didn't feel as strong as the first half, or especially season one. There were still moments of interest throughout, but it seemed the more the show tried to build a cohesive narrative, the less the product worked as a whole. Here's hoping next season is better. I still think this show is great and important.
  12. Brooklyn Nine Nine ****
2x10: A Broyles focused episode made this one a bit of a snooze for me, but it was saved by the fun B plot involving Holt and Amy's obsession with bugs and bug experts. And in so doing they creep out Terry who shaves his eyebrows and the bleaches his beard and ends the episode looking like a complete clown. Every aspect of that B story fired on all cylinders, it's too bad I couldn't care less about Broyles.
  13. Gotham ****I went in, really not in the mood for this show, and it didn't really grab me at first. But the dynamics quickly became interesting as Nyssa Al Ghul was introduced (Not the same actress who just reappeared on Arrow, unfortunately) and Penguin and Riddler had to work with Lee to protect a pregnant and in labour Barbara from the murderous and unstoppable Bane. Frankly that dynamic made the whole episode, in my opinion, and overall I came away enjoying my time with the show despite being so bored of it when it began.
  14. Fleabag ****
It was a fine episode of the show. I think I had my biggest laugh when she just shattered that award into a thousand pieces. That was hilarious. And replacing it with that statue was ridiculous. I liked the woman who won the award, and I liked Fleabag's attempts at sleeping with the priest. Can he tell when she talks to the camera? Wonder what will come of that? If anything.
  15. Brooklyn Nine Nine ***1/2
    2x11:
    It was an alright episode
of the show, with the funniest moments probably revolving around Jake's mistrust of therapy. A lot of the jokes in this actually fell pretty flat, as did a number of the B plots of which there were many this time around. All around a meh episode. but of a show when even at it's Meh-est is pretty fun.
  16. The Goldbergs ***
Decent episode of The Goldbergs. I enjoyed the primary plot about Adam making a Video Game version of his family. The video games was unbelievably complex for him to be making so quickly, but it was clear that it was supposed to be a metaphor for the show, and it really worked. I didn't know Erica was actually based on his brother. That was a bit of a shock for me. As for a story that didn't work, the B story about his grandfather's gambling addiction had moments of humour, but also got strangely sentimental when it was completely unearned and just sort of ended. Not a fun ride. There were a couple great Jeff moments, and a couple great Matt Bradley moments. They are my two favourites. Just random background characters that always mean well and always get shit on.
  17. Black Lightning ***
I guess this was the season finale. Very mediocre. I enjoy Jenn and Anyssa, but couldn't care less about anything else going on. Like for a finale, I could tell it was a finale cause things were wrapping up, but they never really ramped up. I really felt this episode largely fell flat. If it was just a normal episode it might have been an above average episode of wheels spinning. Instead it was a wheels spinning all the way into an ending and it was just weird. This show is weird. It does things differently than other shows, which I suppose is allowed but... I dunno.
  18. American Gods **1/2
    2x03
: I almost gave up on this episode. It came close. The sad reality is that this season is clearly a sad imitation of season one. And all the best actors and minds behind it seemed to have jumped ship. That is except for all the main characters that are just as fun, but everything around them doesn't feel the same. I'd almost compare this to that one season of Community that we don't talk about. But the show ended up winning me over with the hilarity around the leprechaun, as he tried everything he could to gain some distance from Laura Moon. Without his coin, he is the most unluckiest guy of all. I think my personal favourite was when he got picked up by the bus full of christian rock stars. By that point I was losing it. But I also enjoyed some of our time with Laura, and felt like after a bit I was almost getting the feel of old Mr. Wednesday from Mcshane again. I guess it survives another week. But can it survive week 4?
  19. Riverdale *I didn't think I'd actually do it, but I gave up on Riverdale. They started a musical episode again, and right from the start I'm like "Why do they have this whole routine made up walking through the school just to sell the mayor on the musical like she would have any say. And why was Veronica involved with that singing while working her jobs with Pops. The mayor wasn't even there, that wasn't even a part of it! This doesn't make sense. I don't care about any of the drama, they're losing me on the characters. I like the show... ish... but I don't have time for this and I don't like it enough. I've made it clear that I need shows to drop, and I think this might be one of them. I'll throw it on my watch list, and maybe I'll catch up again at some point. It'll be right there, on top of the vampire diaries in limbo hell. Never did watch that last season.Next lets cut The Orville too!

  12. ➤ Gotham ****I went in, really not in the mood for this show, and it didn't really grab me at first.
  14. ➤ Brooklyn Nine Nine ***1/22x11: It was an alright episode of the show, with the funniest moments probably revolving around Jake's mistrust of therapy. A lot of the jokes in this actually fell pretty flat, as did a number of the B plots of which there were many this time around. All around a meh episode. but of a show when even at it's Meh-est is pretty fun.
  15. ➤ The Goldbergs ***Decent episode of The Goldbergs.
I dunno.
  17. ➤ Riverdale *I didn't think I'd actually do it, but I gave up on Riverdale.

Geekly Daily 91 (Thursday, March 21st): Everyone should watch Deadly Class

Now playing: Final Fantasy IV

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

Well I practically slept my entire Thursday away. Deadly class was amazing though. With seaosn 1 over, anyone who hasn't watched it yet has no reason not to binge it from beginning to end. While I write this month's chapter. It's just so good, and there's so many amazing female roles on it. I can't stop obsessing. Petra. Saya. Maria. Remove the guys from the whole equation, that's the threesome I wanna see.
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

Geekly Weekly TV Rankings ( for new)(PS: There will be Spoilers)(PPS: I live tweet shows on twitter, but I try to keep those spoiler-lite for the important spoilers @AndrewGeczy)
  1.  Deadly Class *****Amazing finale this week.
  6. American Gods ****1/2
Loved the stuff with Laura Moon and the leprechaun.
  9. Brooklyn Nine Nine ****
A Broyles focused episode made this one a bit of a snooze for me, but it was saved by the fun B plot involving Holt and Amy's obsession with bugs and bug experts.
