There's been a lot of talk about Diablo Immortal, is that what it was called, and people shitting all over it and blizzard, and then people shitting all over the fans for being the worst for caring so much. Whose right? Are the fans being entitled? Sure. But they are the people who live and breathe Blizzard, the critics of them need to understand that. I can see to a point that DIablo Immortal is not blizzard quality. Of course it's not, it is in fact developed by an outside mobile developer in China. A developer who apparently has made similar games, and are just putting Diablo assets over top of their generic cookie cutter action RPG. So despite all the big names in gaming coming out and calling the one guy dispicable and a monster for asking "Is this a joke" don't get me wrong, Diablo Immortal is a disgusting cash grab and to be touted as a big announcement and be something that disappointing, I don't give a shit but I can understand why people more invested than me might. To me it's just another shitty game I don't have to play, thank god cause I have quite the backlog.

What I personally take offense to is that in the trailer it touts that the game is a "massively multiplayer online" game, and that is just blatant fucking false advertising. It's ten player dungeon crawler, it's not thousands of players in one persistent world, that trailer was all bullshit by some ad dude just using flashy words and lies to distract people into buying their product. That's Donald Trump conservative level bullshit being shoveled into people's mouths by Blizzard, one of the biggest video game companies known for being for their fans first. That's just too bad. I expected better.

The Warcraft 3 remaster looks really nice though. Not to sound the alarms quite so soon, unlike what I've done with Bioware. They done, they've sold out. They're not bioware anymore. But in Blizzard's defense, Warcraft 3 looks good. Of course, I agree 150% with all the other voices saying they should have done Warcraft 2 or 1 first. There's so much that needs to be fixed with those older games, and instead they decided to spruce up a game that kinda held up today. They've spruced it with love, and amazing detail and effort (I read an article about how the city of Statholme has been completely redisgned to resemble it in WOW...which is setting a consistency also hinted at by the movie. Which is amazing), but there's so much more in those older games that really need to be fixed. The lore of the first game is downright broken, and the second game is very barebones, and still contradicts the course set by 3, and then WOW, at numerous points. THEY are the games that need to be reforged. This one was a piece of cake compared to those. So why ignore them? Cause it would be too hard? Thats also not a good sign then in regards to missing the Blizzard of old. The Blizzard that would have done the harder thing because they knew it was the better thing to do, and would better benefit the fans, instead of something easy to make a quick dollar.

Geekly Weekly TV Rankings ( ➤ for new ):
  1. ➤ Titans ****1/2 I really enjoyed this episode of the show. I really enjoyed the Doom Patrol. They were weird and fun. I was surprised how much this episode lingered on Robotman's pain. And the dynamic of that group was fun and weird. Though I wasn't sure, is their chief a bad guy. He seemed pretty evil. Also it seemed weird how she was okay with him strapping her down, but then 5 seconds later changed her mind and wanted. Why let yourself be strapped down in the first place! What were you expecting? Anyway, I enjoyed everything between Dick and Koriandr. And Koriandr in general. And Dick and Raven. And all things Raven, except getting strapped down. It was definitely the best episode so far of this show. And I like it leans full into the weird. Because that Robotman costume is ridiculous.
  2. ➤ DuckTales ****

A great episode of Ducktales this week, focusing on the annoying Glomgold, and making him less annoying and more nuanced. I loved his journey as an amnesiac fisherman, and that dream sequence of his was one of the most disturbing things I've seen in a kids cartoon. It was great, and maybe a little traumatizing. Scrooge had only a small role, and was perfectly used, perhaps his role should be sidelined more often. This show has such a great cast of surrounding characters, always a sign of a great cartoon. Remember Nickolodeons TMNT, the one started in 2012. If you haven'y seen it yet, in my opinion it's the best version of TMNT yet, because it's fun for kids and adults, and is written brilliantly. Like this show. These modern cartoons are very good at talking to adults as much as kids, and they are worth watching.
