This has been a big week for proving me right. I totally predicted on Twitter that in South Park Stan's arm would be in a sling, and his mom would be melancholy after the events of last week. No one agreed with me. Every podcast had the craziest theories. But it doesn't stop there. I've been preaching for a while now, I don't think conservative knows what they are talking about. They are all full of shit, false confidence, and all they ever care about is taking money from helping vulnerable people and giving it to the rich. THat's all they've ever cared about. They talk about Fiscal responsibility and small government but they don't even do that. They are just as bad as liberals, but helping way less people.
Well it came out that the new Trump government, since he went in office, has increased the deficit by 1.5 trillion dollars. Proving yet again, for the hundredth time, that conservatives are just as bad at balancing the budget. Just as bad. They are not better business people. THey think they are, because they are rich, and if someone is rich they must be smart right? No. Must conservatives got their money from taking advantage of vulnerable people, exactly how Trump did it. He's literally built casinos, and then not paid his construction people. That is true. WHen you're that much of an asshole, and somehow people let you get away with it everytime, then you can be capable of anything. Even a complete moron. DOesn't make him better than us, just really fucking evil. So we made him president. And look at all the things he's destroying. You wouldn't believe the environmental protections he's reversed, basically giving companies permission to kill hundreds and hundreds of people, thousands of people, with environmental disasters. ANd when companies drill to deep, when they draw too heavily on a city's drinking water and pull in toxins so that people die horribly of contaminated water. ANd who pays for it? In the end, the government, because conservatives make sure corporations are protected. SO we actually end up spending more money, trying to save money with a smaller government. Then we end up having to spend EVEN more on the clean up. And the cost on human life is unimaginable, but that's the conservative way. HUman life has no value. FUture money has no value, only money right now matters to them. HOw much can they make right away, fuck the future. WHent he future comes and turns to shit, it'll be the poor that all die off. the rich will have protections. They'll be okay. THAT IS THE REAL CONSERVATIVE STRATEGY, THE ONE THEY DON'T TELL PEOPLE. EVERYTHING, LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE THEY SAY AND TALK ABOUT IN THEIR DEBATES IS LIES AND PROPAGANDA.
Liberals spend in the hopes that they can save money in the future. And we all jump down their throats, vote them out of office, and then conservatives fuck up everything they tried to do, and throws all that money down the drain, and this has been the cycle we've continued for a century now. Back and forth, liberal then conservative. We have to accept that modern conservatives are fucking unfeeling monsters, and stop believing their propaganda rich person bullshit. And I know that all this might be hard for some people to hear, but I guaranttee that whether you accept what I'm saying or not, or think I'M the fucking monster, it doesn't change the fact that everything I'm saying is 100% right.
What else was I right about? All the conservative star wars hate? All that "Women are destroying star wars" "Last jedi is the worst movie ever made" bullshit. It was all spurred on by Russian trolls. Over half the comments on social media was actually Russian trolls, it was investigated and discovered. Reported on Daily Show and CBS and who knows where else. They've been pushing a divide in our media, pushing this female hating shit that pushed Kelly Marie Tran off the internet, it wasn't star wars fans. Everyone jumped down the throat of star wars fandom in general, saying they were all shitty horrible people, and we should be ashamed of being star wars fans. Ticket sales dropped a lot. Movies were cancelled. Solo was deemed a failure. This all happened. They succeeded at fucking with our media and the franchises we love. They succeeded. This is a war, and Russians won another battle.
And I called that too! Literally. last week I came upon a thread on twitter where women were attacking gamers, saying all gamers are toxic and shitty, and people should be ashamed of gamer culture. That gamer culture needed to die. I argued it wasn't all gamers. That every gamer they have an issue with was also a conservative. And conservatives should be where we focus our hate, instead of attacking people just like us. You can't beat ignorance with more ignorance. Well they said the most horrible things about me, told me to fuck off, attacked me and who I was. As always happens, because I always speak views no one agrees with. Well guess what, if that Russian bot spurred conservative bile was true of Star Wars, i guarantee it's true of gaming too. So I was right again, on a topic no one agreed to me about, and it made me an outcast for preaching.
I don't know what I want. A cookie. Just... just tell your sister... tell her I was right. I was riiiiight.
Anyway I think going forward with my writing I'm going to release the chapter excerpt preview for my novels on the same day as the actual chapter release on my patreon. Unless you want me to release one scene half way through the month, then a second scene on launch day. I just feel like I need to make it more of an event when a new chapter comes out, to encourage people to subscribe. Because building an audience seems to be the one thing I'm completely incapable of accomplishing. Which is their loss, cause apparently I'm always right. :p
I meant to get home from work this morning, watch Saturday's DVR, and then post this before passing out. Instead I got home from my nightmare night shift at the worst job ever that works me to shit, and then yells at me anyway when I'm literally busting ass from the moment I'm there till the moment I go home. I get treated like the problem, when I'm always stuck cleaning up everyone else's mess. ANd when I got home, I was so exhausted that I hit the bed and passed right out, fully clothed. Slept all the way till now, 5 o clock. That was not the plan. As usual that screws up yet another weekend for me. ANyway, so the TV ranking below don't include Saturday. Or even some stuff from Friday.
Geekly Weekly TV Rankings:
- Shameless *****
I'm never not gonna give Shameless 5 stars. I can't help it. I love Shameless. I feel bad for Lip, but know he made the right choice in the moment. You can see how much he cared for Xan, aww my heart melted. Also Fiona was a bitch this episode, but I'm glad she figured her shit out before the end of the episode. I thought Debbie was cute this episode, and felt bad things fell apart. Carl's story line was great. Liam's storyline has been great. This show is just aces. As usual, the only one I could care less about is Frank. Though the whole Mo White likes kids thing was disgusting and kinda hilarious. It just kept getting worse and worse. - South Park *****
Hilarious episode. Right out of the gate, I actually called it on twitter that Stan's arm would be in a sling, and Sharon would still feel melancholy after last week. Right on both accounts. I just get this show, where all the podcasts I listened to were going crazy with their speculation. It was a great episode, though not the best. I thought the resolution was a little weak, and it didn't really go as far as they've been saying they would. Thankfully. I don't think there was anything to be offended it. I was so damned scared, as the priest and Butters became friends, and he was hanging out with the boys, and you'd see people just staring in the distance. Randy's reaction was the best, "Awww, NO WAY!!!" I was dying. It made you feel uncomfortable at points, but put your faith in Matt and Trey, and they deliver. The clean up crew were so ridiculous. And that Kumbee. I did not stop laughing at the kumbee. - American Horror Story ****1/2
Awesome episode of the show. I loved it, right up until the end. I thought the ep was awesome, and it took me for a ride, and I was into it. But the last five minutes were a slight disappointment. I saw the ending coming like way ahead of time, and then they realized they still had like 10 minutes left so just dragged their damn heels to get to the unsatisfying saw it coming ending. What I really wanna see now is what happens to the witches when the missiles go off. How do they survive? Hopefully the next ep will fill everything in. - The Big Bang Theory ****
Another great episode. I love the focus this week on Lenard and Penny. EVen though Sheldon is the most popular character, those two are still the reason I'm watching. In fact I'd say Sheldon is my least favorite character. - The Good Place **** Another alright episode, that doesn't quite hit the heights this show is capable of. Some of it was meh, some of it was genius, but even on a bad week this show is better than most shows. And I don't even think this was the worst episode this season so far. I'm just waiting for a real 5 star episode like almost every episode of the last two seasons.
- Wrecked ****
Great season finale. Lots of great jokes. "I call this a Molotodd Cocktail." just so many great moments. Can't wait for next season. - The Last Ship ***1/2
The focus on naval combat is really suiting this season of the show. Also when the one guy got taken out by a mine, that was pretty intense. The show is thankfully keeping my interest, otherwise I'd drop it like a sack of bricks. The battle was intense. I saw some of the twists coming, including Cuba changing sides. It just made sense for the narrative. Good show, not great, but if you can swallow the US self flagellation, it's very watchable. - The Gifted ***
Alright episode this week, besides that I was bored throughout the whole thing, as is per usual. I swear, so much of the show is just people talking BS and raising drama and whining about this or that while a whole lotta nothing happens. Ugh. Easily the most ho hum comic book project currently on TV. Also I'm not sure if Lorna is scary or sexy, but I think she might be both. - Saturday Night Live **1/2
I read a lot of people being down on the premiere episode of the season. I disagree. I don't think it was that bad. I laughed a lot at the cold open, something people keep bashing for being too political. I guess I didn't find the coffee sketch, rehash of an old sketch, very funny. But I laughed a lot at the oil baron. I also enjoyed the new opening credits. I guess the episode was fairly lackluster, especially for a premiere, but not in a "Why are we still watching?" kind of way, more just didn't hit highs we wanted. I thought the ongoing joke about Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande was funny, but I'm just rooting for them cause he's a geek like me, who has suddenly become cooler just by knowing Grande.
Oh and fuck Kanye West. Gross. Poor everyone for having to put up with him. I'm so sorry cast and crew. He was tweeting about hosting later in the year. That won't happen. If that happens, I stop watching. Also Driver didn't do much for me, but I liked the oil baron sketch... more for Mellisa Villasenor's enthusiasm. - Family Guy **1/2
I laughed a lot at the premiere episode, but sorta like Walking Dead, the episode took a really strange turn halfway through and just spiraled into a most unsatisfying ending. I like Brian, probably because I used to relate a lot to him. I guess I still do, but he's such an asshole these days. I almost feel like Quagmire's hatred of him came first, and then he like became the character Quagmire that he was. So this story was everything I hate about my favourite character wrapped in a neat bow. The story started out okay, but when she was suddenly cured of cancer, a development I saw coming a mile away cause it now too is a cliche, what follows is 10 minutes of fart jokes and she just gets fat. God it felt like such a slap in the face of a female character, making her suddenly as repulsive as ever because aren't women gross? At somepoint I got a little offended at this episode. And then it killed her and brought her back. So dumb. That said, there were unrelated jokes that I really laughed at. So I dunno. It was a good episode in all but the main plot, which is kinda a lot of the episode. - Whose Line is it Anyway **1/2
Some funny parts, a lot of focus on their weakest bits though. - Fear the Walking Dead **
Fear the walking dead was so much higher. It was a decent episode for the first half. But the show made a cardinal sin. Something that must have seemingly made sense on the page, absolutely made 0 sense on camera, and ruined the entire plot. There comes a point where the cast is poisoned by antifreeze. They need Ethanol. Thank god there's a truck of it outside. They get to the truck, and the valve is stuck. Damn. Then the truck is shot, and the ethanol starts pouring out the holes in the side of the truck. Perfect! Problem solved, what a happy ending. Next scene "Morgan? We lost the ethanol. We're all gonna die now." what are you talking about? Put your hands up to the leak, or your mouth, or anything. Drink it from the truck. There was ample. What the fuck is going on here? I cannot believe this just got through. In a finale. I just got torn out of this, I was right in. Disbelief was suspended, and then they ruined it. The ending was dumb too. Rather they went to Alexandria. Ugh. How did such a good season turn so sour. - Happy Together *1/2
The show has a lame premise, but I do love Damon Wayans. I couldn't get past, however, that they kept trying to make out his wife as being normal, lame, bland, old, ugly. Nothing could be further from the truth. She's one of the hottest women on the planet, and clearly miscast for the role. Damon wasn't gonna date no normy. Doubt I'll see this again, but I did get through the episode despite barely laughing. - Single Parents *
I almost stuck through Single Parents, really. I almost made it through. I liked some of the characters and some of the kids. Kinda. But then that climax was so forced, I gave up. I couldn't watch a second more.
